Croatian international Šime Vrsaljko had his practice on Tuesday at Atletico Madrid’s center. This is the first practice for Vrsaljko after he had left-knee surgery on February 13th. Croatian right-back spent previous months on rehabilitation and yesterday he had an individual practice in the club’s center: “The defender ended his first practice and is in the last phase of his recovery. The Croatian will train individually in order to adjust again, and then he will slowly join the other teammates.”, Atletico Madrid stated.
Šime Vrsaljko played his last match on December 29th, 2018 for Inter Milan where he came on a loan in the summer of 2018. The Italian club could have bought his contract this summer but they refused on that option because of his injury. After Vrsaljko completely recovers, coach Diego Simeone’s intentions will be much more clear since he has Kieran Trippier and Santiago Arias in that position.
